    Product insights

    Large screening area

The conical basket lengthened by 50 per cent compared to previous models, with the largest screening area in relation to the machine applied, allowing a reduction in the screening time.

    No drainage line required

Due to the choice of the motor and hydraulic circuit, the drainage line is not required.

    RPM adjustment

RPM can be adjusted in both directions, thanks to the single CM valve mounted.

    Front basket support

Starting with CBR 12, it protects and supports the load of the gear motor.

    Options

    Basket cleaning brush

As long as the depth of the basket is, it is driven by inertia force and has the function of cleaning the basket when there is a small grid.

    Digging teeth kit

They facilitate breakthroughs on hard ground.

Dedicated attachment for skid steer loaders

Allows the use of the screening bucket also on skid steers, ensuring compatibility and quick coupling for working in confined spaces.

    CBR Screening Bucket Pairings

The CBR Series was created to bring to the job site a robust, intuitive, and truly productive screening bucket. The conical basket design increases the effective contact surface between the material and the mesh, reducing the time the material remains inside the bucket and improving separation efficiency. The customer can predefine the mesh size best suited to their materials: this flexibility ensures a tool perfectly aligned with the intended application — whether for road subbases, backfilling, drainage fillings, or composting.

The pairing with the carrier machine is optimized to maintain low backpressure and ensure continuous operation. For those working in urban areas or sensitive environments, fewer repeated passes mean less noise and overall fuel savings — in other words, higher screening quality and less waste.

Compatible with skid steers, excavators, and wheel loaders, the CBR Series is extremely versatile: a single attachment can work both on and off the construction site, from the quarry to the storage area for screened material. On compact excavators, the CBR allows precise maneuvers in tight spaces; on machines with higher hydraulic capacity, it handles larger material volumes effortlessly, maintaining consistent and uniform screening. Thanks to its dedicated coupling and proper balance, the screening bucket preserves stability and maneuverability even under demanding conditions.

Applications – CBR Series in action

When a construction site has a screening bucket on site, it opens up the possibility of transforming the available material into an immediate resource. The CBR Series is designed precisely for this purpose: to create value by reducing costs and procurement times.

Recycling of Inert and Organic Materials

In temporary recycling sites, the CBR screens asphalt millings and mixed demolition debris, separating fine fractions from oversize material. Suitable screened material can be reused for backfilling, sub-base layers, or land rehabilitation. In nurseries and landscaping operations, the CBR screening bucket sieves soil and compost, removing stones and wood residues to achieve a grain size that promotes proper drainage and soil aeration. In both scenarios, consistent screening performance is key to achieving a uniform final result.

Handling of Stony Soils, Gravel, and Riverbeds

In light soil reclamation and riverbed maintenance, the CBR separates fine fractions from pebbles, improving the quality of material used for restoration work. The conical shape of the basket, combined with the controlled rubbing action, reduces clogging typical of moist or mixed materials. When operated with the correct hydraulic parameters, the CBR screening bucket works consistently, ensuring continuous and uniform screening. The processed material is homogeneous and immediately reusable or ready for further selection and recovery processes.

Applications in Quarries, Mines, Tunnels, Construction, and Landscaping

In quarries and mines, the CBR screening bucket can ease the workload of crushers by pre-screening oversize material (pieces too large for direct use). In tunneling, it helps manage excavated material where accessibility is limited, reducing unnecessary transport. In construction, during renovations and redevelopment projects, it allows sorting of debris and quick separation of reusable fractions. In urban landscaping, it helps prepare uniform soils for seeding and transplanting, reducing impurities and coarse elements.

Why Choose the CBR Screening Bucket by CM Srl

Choosing the CBR screening bucket means adopting a durable, easy-to-use screening system that enhances the value of on-site materials. CM Srl designs and manufactures all its equipment in-house, ensuring strict quality control that translates into consistent performance. For companies seeking the right balance between performance and simplicity, this screening bucket is a natural choice.

Wide Compatibility: Mini Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Backhoe Loaders, and More

The CBR is available in configurations compatible with a wide range of carrier weights and hydraulic capacities. This means the same screening technology can be scaled from compact machines to heavy-duty equipment. This versatility is especially valuable for rental companies or multi-service contractors who tailor their fleet to each job site. For urban mining, road maintenance, or small reclamation projects, the mini-excavator version of the CBR screening bucket offers maneuverability without compromising the quality of the screened material.

    Reliability and Ease of Maintenance

A screening bucket is valuable only if it works every day — not just on paper. That’s why the CBR Series is designed with features that enhance reliability and simplify maintenance: the interchangeable bolted grid basket ensures versatility and durability, while the motor and hydraulic system are protected from external impacts. The pressure relief valve safeguards the hydraulic circuit, and the dual-direction speed regulator, together with the bi-rotary basket, ensures smooth and predictable operation. Thanks to easy, low-maintenance servicing, downtime is minimized — allowing for more productive days on site.
