    Product insights

    3 m³ loading hopper

The Multiscreen RC loading hopper, with a volume of 3 m³, allows large quantities of material to be handled and feeds the screening deck continuously. Its wide structure, measuring 3,500 mm in length and 2,300 mm in width, makes loading with an excavator easier and helps ensure a steady material flow towards the screening area.

    10-shaft disc screen

The 10-shaft disc screen provides a large working surface and ensures a steady material flow, increasing productivity even during intensive operations. The shafts can be replaced to adapt the machine to different jobsite requirements.

    Configurable screening size

With interchangeable shafts and spacing options of 16, 25, 40 or 60 mm, the Multiscreen RC allows you to choose the size of the screened material and adapt the machine to the job to be carried out.

    Multiscreen_RC_Cummins_engine_EN

    74 HP Cummins engine

The Multiscreen RC is equipped with a 74 HP Cummins Stage V engine, without AdBlue system. A reliable engine suitable for continuous operation, with optimized fuel consumption, worldwide service support and consistent performance even in the most demanding application

    Steel tracks

The Multiscreen RC is equipped with steel tracks with a 300 mm shoe width and a 2,950 mm track gauge, ensuring stability and easy movement around the jobsite. Rubber track pads are available on request, helping to reduce impact on more delicate surfaces during machine movement.

    Full remote control

From the remote control, the operator can manage the main functions of the Multiscreen RC directly from a distance: inlet conveyor speed, screening deck speed and inclination, opening and closing of the discharge conveyors, and adjustment of their speed.

The display also allows the operator to monitor machine conditions, fuel level and working parameters, keeping the screening process fully under control on site.

Discharge conveyors for fine material and oversize

The Multiscreen RC is equipped with dedicated conveyors to separate and manage the different material fractions in an orderly way. The fine material conveyor, with a 1,000 mm belt width and a discharge height of up to 3,750 mm, allows the operator to create large stockpiles or load the screened material directly into a truck body.

The oversize conveyor, with an 800 mm belt width and a discharge height of up to 1,800 mm, conveys the coarser material, helping to keep the work area clean and well organized.

Automatic lubrication of the screening deck

The Multiscreen RC is equipped with automatic lubrication for the screening deck, ensuring constant greasing of the components during operation. This reduces manual intervention, simplifies routine maintenance and helps keep the machine efficient during continuous work.

Radio-controlled disc screener for material separation on site

Radio-controlled disc screeners are machines designed to sort and separate materials of different sizes directly in the work area, reducing the need to transport material to external facilities. They are particularly suitable for construction sites, demolition works, recycling operations, earthmoving, aggregate recovery and mixed material processing, as they make it possible to obtain efficient separation between the fine fraction and oversize material through a continuous, organised process that can be easily controlled by the operator.

In the case of CM Srl’s MULTISCREEN RC, screening takes place through a configurable disc deck, a system made up of discs that allow the finer material to pass through the separation spaces, while the coarser material continues towards the dedicated discharge. This technology makes the machine suitable for processing heterogeneous materials, even when they differ in size, moisture content, weight or composition.

    What is a disc screener?

A disc screener is a screening system that separates materials according to their size. Unlike other types of screens, such as vibrating screens or rotary drum screens, a disc screener uses a series of rotating elements arranged on the selection deck. The material is loaded into the hopper and conveyed towards the disc deck: as it moves forward, the smaller parts fall through the spaces between the discs, while the larger parts are carried towards the oversize discharge. This operating principle allows effective separation even with materials that are not perfectly uniform. The distance between the discs and the configuration of the screening deck determine the size of the separated material, allowing the machine to be adapted to the operational needs of the site.

How do radio-controlled disc screeners work and what are the advantages?

As mentioned above, the operation of the disc screener is based on three main stages: material feeding, separation through the disc deck and discharge of the selected fractions. Thanks to the radio remote control, however, the operator can manage the main functions from a distance, control movements, position the screener in the most suitable point and intervene in the operations without having to remain constantly on the machine. This improves safety, increases visibility over the work area and makes it easier to coordinate site activities, especially when excavators, wheel loaders, conveyors or other operating machines are present.

What materials can a disc screener process?

The disc screener is suitable for separating many types of material. It can be used to process soil, gravel, aggregates, compost, humus, coal, wet materials, contaminated materials and fractions from demolition or recycling. Its effectiveness depends on the configuration of the disc deck, the spacing between the discs, the speed of the rotors, the inclination and the length of the screening deck, as well as the characteristics of the incoming material. All these factors affect the time the material remains on the disc deck and, consequently, the quality of separation and the productivity of the process. In construction and earthmoving, the radio-controlled disc screener makes it possible to separate soil, gravel, aggregates and mixed materials, distinguishing reusable material from material to be discarded or sent for further processing. In recycling and demolition, it helps enhance the value of recoverable fractions and organise the material flow more efficiently. In the processing of compost, humus and mixed soils, it helps obtain a more homogeneous product suitable for the next stages of use.

Difference between a disc screener, vibrating screen and rotary screen

A disc screener should not be confused with a vibrating screen or a rotary drum screen. A vibrating screen uses the vibration of the screening deck to help separate the material. A rotary screen, often also called a trommel, uses a cylindrical drum that rotates and separates the material through holes or grids. A disc screener, on the other hand, works through a series of rotating discs that carry the material along the screening deck and allow the finer fraction to fall through the available spaces. This difference makes the disc screener particularly interesting when processing mixed, wet, irregular or difficult-to-handle materials with a traditional screening system. The disc deck helps move the material forward and contributes to maintaining good operating continuity, reducing the risk of build-up and improving fraction separation.

Is a disc screener suitable for wet materials?

Yes, a disc screener can also be used with wet or mixed materials, such as soil, compost, humus and materials from demolition. Performance depends on the configuration of the disc deck, the inclination and speed of the rotors, the type of material and the operating conditions of the site.

What is the radio remote control used for on a mobile screener?

The radio remote control allows the operator to manage the machine from a distance, controlling movements and operating functions with greater safety and precision. It is particularly useful on sites where good visibility over the work area is required and several machines need to be coordinated at the same time.

What is the difference between undersize and oversize material?

Undersize is the finer fraction that passes through the spaces in the disc deck. Oversize is the coarser fraction that does not pass through the screening deck and is conveyed towards the dedicated discharge.
